My passion for photography and painting developed during my Fine Art A Level, after discovering the artist David Hockney. The way Hockney along with other artists (e.g. Lucian Freud/Rachel Whiteread/Stephen Gill), embrace the freedom of using a multitude of art mediums changed my creative perspective. This began my exploration into multi-media art, art history and photography.

At this point I was uncertain about attending university and a clear career path, so decided to take a ‘creative’ gap year by enrolling on a Pre-degree Foundation Art Diploma course.The diploma widened my understanding of self-expression through paint, with a new passion of art history and creating work composed of multiple mediums. To now, even after choosing a degree in design (CAD), my passion for all things impressionism, cubism and photography (of course) still fuels my creative thought processes in everyday life.
